Cultural School Educator with a focus on film, scenic creation, and storytelling sought for a project position at the Cultural School Södertälje

The Cultural School Södertälje conducts educational activities in dance, music, art, and theater for children and young people during their leisure time. About 30 employees annually serve approximately 1300 students in course activities in their own facilities in Västergård and Järna, and also engage many others in open course activities and outreach through performances, shows, and exhibitions in other venues, as well as through collaboration with schools and other units within Södertälje municipality. Your responsibilities

To learn more about what children and young people wish for and expect from the Cultural School, we are now announcing a project position at 40% aimed at exploring opportunities and student interests in the process of broadening the Cultural School's activities.
You will create, develop, and work with courses and therefore need to be both independent and flexible, as well as enjoy working interdisciplinary with colleagues in other subjects.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who, with great commitment, wants to ensure that all children and young people have equal opportunities to develop through cultural practices in a high-quality and accessible environment. For you, this means developing, leading, and teaching in new subjects and courses within film, scenic creation, and storytelling, and simultaneously creating digital material to market both new offerings and previously existing ones on social media, etc.
We would like you to have a genuine interest in working with film and scenic creation and storytelling with students up to 20 years old. To do this, you need to have good experience in teaching and leading children and youth groups.

Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge and experience from your own artistic practice and creation
- Excellent knowledge and experience in teaching children and young people in one or more areas of film, theater, storytelling, creation, or what the employer considers equivalent
- Artistic and/or pedagogical education, or what the employer considers equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of hardware and software for film, image, and sound, as well as good experience working in Microsoft 365
- Fluent Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious:
- Experience working in administrative tools for cultural schools, e.g., StudyAlong or SpeedAdmin
- Experience teaching in other artistic disciplines
- Knowledge and experience from adapted teaching for children and young people with disabilities
- Multiple languages, spoken and written

Personal qualities:
- Good at communicating, collaborating, and building relationships
- Independent and structured
- Proactive and responsible
